The government of Slovakia said that the prime minister's life is not in danger, although he was seriously injured.
The operation of the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, went well, and his life is not in danger. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Tomas Taraba, Denník N reports.
Taraba said he believes that Fizo, who survived the assassination attempt, will survive and that he is no longer in a life-threatening situation.
"I was in shock… fortunately, as far as I know, the operation went well – and I think he will survive in the end. Now his life is not in danger," Taraba said.
"He was seriously wounded – one bullet went through the stomach, and the second hit a joint – he was immediately taken to the hospital, and then to surgery."
