Roman Bilousov: No mass celebrations are planned in the Karaganda region on May 1

Officials from the field of culture and internal politics told about the celebration of the Unity Day of the People of Kazakhstan at the regional apparatus meeting. The first day of May is marked not only by concerts and festivals, but also by the start of various campaigns to help flood victims. At the same time, it is now recommended to organize events without excessive pomp in the country. Therefore, concerts on May 1 in the open air, like other folk festivities, are not expected.

Nurlan Bikenov, head of the Department of Internal Policy, told about the all-republican action "Berek – birlikt", which will start on May 1 and is intended to provide assistance to flood-affected regions. Volunteers and businessmen will take part in the campaign.

"Also, in the region, there will be a tribute to volunteers and emergency workers who were involved in rescue operations during the floods, and a caravan with humanitarian cargo will go to the North Kazakhstan region. In addition, the republican action "Unity Run" has already been launched – 1,500 athletes and activists of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan took part in it," Nurlan Bikenov shared.

As of May 1, the action plan has already been approved. Round tables and meetings will be held in the region, curatorial and class hours will be organized in educational institutions to discuss the tasks set by the Head of State at the XXXIII session of the ANC.

Acting Head of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation, Yerlan Neldibayev, noted that festive concerts and performances have been prepared by theater and performance organizations for the Unity Day of the People of Kazakhstan. Cinema "Sarizhailau" will hold a retrospective screening of animated films from the golden fund of world cinema in the exhibition hall. With the aim of forming a respectful attitude to the historical and cultural traditions of all peoples, spiritual and moral education of young people, library and museum exhibitions, an informational clock, round tables, field concerts and much more will be held. An artisans' fair will be held on the square of the Karaganda Central Park.

Regional museums prepared a series of events in honor of the holiday. Among them are the online photo competition "One world – different cultures of Kazakhstan" among schoolchildren, which is held by the regional Museum of History and Local History, the fair of cultural traditions "Bir shanırak astynda" in the Temirtau Museum of History and Local History, the thematic program and exhibition "Kabir" in Karlag Museum. On the occasion of the Day of the Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, in the House of Culture of the Deaf in the city of Karaganda, the exemplary studio of fine and decorative and applied arts "Oner pukhyny" is holding the exhibition "The World on the Whole Earth", which will be held in early May. The creative amateur team of the Miners' Palace of Culture will perform a festive program at the medical and social institution in Pryshakhtynsk," Yerlan Neldibayev shared.
