Uzbekistan will launch new bus routes to Astana and Turkestan

Uzbekistan plans to launch new bus routes to the Kazakh cities of Astana and Turkestan this year, the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan reported on May 13.

The routes will connect Bukhara with Astana, as well as Bukhara, Samarkand and Shakhrisabz with Turkestan.
Currently, Uzbekistan has 196 buses operated by 32 domestic and foreign carriers on 37 routes through Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia and Tajikistan.
In January-April, 173,000 passengers were transported on Uzbekistan's international bus routes, which is 15% more than in the same period of 2023.
