On Saturday, June 1, US forces destroyed the drone, as well as two anti-ship ballistic missiles launched in the direction of the Gravely ship.

Yesterday, the American military destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Houthis in the southern part of the Red Sea. This was reported by the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) on June 2.

CENTCOM forces also observed two other drones crash into the Red Sea, it said.

In addition, on Saturday evening, the American military shot down two Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles in the southern part of the Red Sea.

"The missiles were fired in the direction of the US warship Gravely and were destroyed in self-defense with no reports of damage to US, coalition or commercial vessels," CENTCOM said.

Earlier, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sari said the group had repeatedly attacked the US Navy aircraft carrier Dwight Eisenhower, as well as an American destroyer.

According to Sari, the Houthis also conducted operations against the commercial vessels Abliani and Maina in the Red Sea and Aloraiq in the Indian Ocean.
