For the second day now, Moscow doctors have been trying to prevent Gennady Matsehora from going to "Kobzon's concert", the intelligence agency said.
In the Russian city of Stary Oskol in the Belgorod Region, an attempt was made on the mayor-collaborator of Kupyansk, Gennady Matsegoru. This was announced by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Saturday, June 8.
It is indicated that the attempt took place on Friday, June 7. Matsegora is in hospital in critical condition.
"Now, for the second day now, Moscow doctors are trying to prevent Matsehora from going to Kobzon's concert. The condition of the traitor of the Ukrainian people is critical," the message reads.
The GUR reminded that Matsegora held the post of mayor of Kupyansk from the banned OPZZH party. After the arrival of the Russian occupiers in the city, he voluntarily went to cooperate with them.
"In June 2022, he signed the so-called protocol on the creation of the occupation Kharkiv administration and publicly announced it. After the release of Kupyansk, he fled with the Russians to the Belgorod region, where the Moscow masters placed a reinforced guard in Matsegora, which, however, did not preserve the peace – the intelligence added.
Russian Telegram channels write that Matsegora was shot in Stary Oskol near the house where he lived.
