The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan may consider the issue of translation and dubbing of Soviet cartoons in the Kazakh language for showing to our audience, the correspondent of the Kazinform agency reports.

At the plenary session of the Senate during the consideration of the Law "On Mass Media", Senator Zhana Asanova asked the representative of the Ministry of Culture and Information:
"How do you feel about the return of Soviet cartoons to the screens?"

Vice-Minister of Culture and Information Kanat Iskakov replied that the department is considering the issue of translating these cartoons into Kazakh.

"Regarding the rebroadcast of children's fairy tales. Considering that we have also seen the end and sunset of the era when Soviet cartoons were relevant, my personal opinion is that they mostly correspond to the values of work, respect for one's relatives, and love for the motherland. We will work on it. The only thing is that we will not rebroadcast, that is, we will translate from the archive into the state language and we will strengthen the work from the social network, because the majority of the younger generation, that is from 3 to 18 years old, sits on social networks. Therefore, we will definitely take the issue of translation and dubbing under control," explained Kanat Iskakov.
