The general, together with subordinate instructors, coordinated the actions of the Russians from the launches of Shahed-136 and Mohajer-6 over Ukraine.
The Iranian brigadier general was informed of the suspicion of Russia's aiding and abetting aggression against Ukraine. The SBU reported this on Saturday, June 24.
It is indicated that it is about the brigadier general of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Sharifi Molasarei Abbas Moussa. He directly helped the Russians carry out air strikes on Ukraine using Iranian drones.
"In August-September 2022, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps handed over at least 1,500 Shahed-136 and Mohajer-6 combat drones to Russia. At the same time, in 2022, General Sharifi Molasarei Abbasu Musa personally came to the temporarily occupied Crimea and brought with him a group of Iranian UAV instructors," the message reads.
It was under the leadership of this general that the Russian units were trained for the combat use of the drones they received at the training grounds of the Crimea. And he and subordinate instructors coordinated the actions of the Russians from the launches of Shahed-136 and Mohajer-6 over Ukraine.
Only during September-October 2022, the aggressor carried out at least 20 series of massive attacks by Iranian UAVs from Ukrainian facilities.
SBU investigators and prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office informed Sharifa Molasarei Abbas Musa in absentia about the suspicion under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- assistance in waging an aggressive war committed by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy (Article 27, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 437);
- Violation of the laws and customs of war provided for by international treaties, the binding consent of which was given by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438).
Currently, measures are being taken to bring the perpetrator to justice for war crimes against Ukraine.
