The National Hydrogeological Service was created in Kazakhstan

The Government of Kazakhstan signed the decree dated April 23, 2024 "On the creation of a non-commercial joint-stock company "National Hydrogeological Service "Kazhydrogeology", reports Zakon.kz.

"To create a non-commercial joint-stock company "National Hydrogeological Service "Kazhydrogeology" with one hundred percent participation of the state in its authorized capital," the document states.

The main subjects of NAO activities are the digitization of underground water resources management, the creation of databases and permanent geo-information systems in the field of hydrogeology and geofiltration models, digital, cartographic databases and their management systems using Earth remote sensing data.

The formation of the authorized capital of the NAO was established at the expense of republican property, which is on the balance sheet of RDPPG "Kazvodgosp" of the Water Management Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The resolution enters into force from the day of its signing.
