President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that he welcomes and supports the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron to send instructors to Ukraine to train mobilized Ukrainian servicemen.
"Regarding the initiative to send instructors to us. First of all, I want our position to be clearly formulated – we support President Macron's initiative to send instructors to Ukraine and, by the way, this simply shortens the path to training.
NATO countries, many countries trained our military on their territories. The difference is that it is a shorter, more practical way, so I am grateful for this initiative."
During a joint press conference, Macron said that at least a few more countries agree to the possibility of sending their instructors to Ukraine.
Macron also announced the formation of a coalition that should "respond to Ukraine's request" regarding military training on its territory, but without details.
